"Let's Experiment"

George Tavern

According to the handbook instructions for the 3rd Unit we had to locate our practice within the framework of the wider community through the presentation of work outside the confines of the academic arena. The aim was to consider the professional contexts in which our work might be located, with consideration of the practical, economic and social issues raised and prospective audiences it addresses. Furthermore we had to identify the methods of effective communication that support and challenge the ideas and issues that resonate within our community and society.

Location: George Tavern

"The George Tavern is a legendary venue, public house and constant foundation for a thriving artistic community in the heart of London's east end. Originally a 700 year old tavern mentioned in the writing of Charles Dickens, Samuel Pepys and Geoffrey Chaucer, the renowned venue is a beacon for both emerging and established artists, musicians and creatives alike.

Owner, Pauline Forster has spent the last decade transforming The George into an arts, music and performance venue with an international reputation."

In this beautiful place I presented a 20 minutes sample of my final performance with the title "Infra Unplugged".I chose to present a sample due to the fact that I needed to see the responce of the audience and to have a feedback from them in order to change or add elements to my performance. The story line was the same. It had to do with the loss of a loved one and how that can change completely the perspective for life. How the grieving process, with the 5 emotional stages, is able to manipulate the body and the mind.

The image gallery below demonstrates the "Q LIST" of Isadora software that I used in order to create the visual story/parts.

MUSIC:

The music track below is the music which I designed and edited it in order to create the emotional ground for the performance:
